[Northshield] Another little persona challenge

Greetings, gentle friends. 

It is I, Merouda, asking you to think about your
persona again. :-)

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Henry
Vilas Zoo; it was a birthday celebration for two of
the dearest boys I've ever known, and we had a
marvelous time. It got me thinking about zoo's in the
16th c. And I learned that while what we modernly
think of as a zoo wasn't hanging around at that time,
there was a definite antecedent.

So today, I'd like to ask you to think about some
place you went recently. What pleasure trip did you
take this spring that might have been something your
persona might have done or recognized? Please note
that for the purposes of this challenge, SCA events do
not count. 

I'll start:

Elyse: "I went with my family to the zoo..."

Merouda: "I obtained permission to visit the Lord
Mayor's menagerie, and took my lord husband and his
kin thereto."
